Zodiac (astronomical)
The band of sky within about 8° of the ecliptic, where the Sun, Moon, and planets are always found.
Contains twelve traditional constellations plus Ophiuchus, which the ecliptic also crosses. The astronomical zodiac is a geometric fact about where the solar system lies. It has no predictive or personality-linked meaning; see the astronomy-vs-astrology explainer.
